COMMUNITY

We know we can make a difference in our community.  Here are a few things we think are awesome:

linkoutCastlegar Sculpturewalk

The idea of Sculpturewalk originated with the Castlegar Communities in Bloom (CCIB) volunteers who were inspired by the internationally recognized Sculpturewalk program in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. CCIB launched this legacy project by providing a sculpture placed in Spirit Square. Sculpturewalk has grown over the past couple years into a recognized and appreciated organization to Castlegar and surrounding communities.

Sculpturewalk is run by volunteers with help from the many community businesses supporting the program with in-kind contributions.

Pinnacle PAC is a supporter of Castlegar Sculpturewalk.  With our passion for beautifying our downtown Castlegar area, Sculpturewalk’s goals are perfectly aligned with ours.NorthernLeopardFrog-600x600-300x300

The West Kootenay Women in Business (WKWB) group has a vision to grow a strong local network of knowledgeable and talented women from all walks of life.  The group is designed for business owners, managers, employees and women who dream of running their own business one day.  The group recognizes that a local network is an invaluable asset and that an investment of time to attend a regular networking event will grow that asset as business relationships are created and ideas and experiences are shared to mutual advantage.

The women’s networking group provides an empowering environment where women can feel comfortable to discuss their business issues and offer solutions to each other.

If you are interested in being on the WKWB mailing list and would like to attend future events, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@kfsinc.ca.
